Ariane 5 successfully flies to orbit with dual payload

The British Skynet 5C military communications satellite and the Turkish Turksat 3A communications spacecraft launched from South America aboard an Ariane 5 rocket at 6:05 p.m. EDT (2205 GMT) today. The successful ascent took a half-hour to complete.
